Twin Turbo / Supercharged Ford GT Chassis Dyno Testing

Ford GT Twin Turbo and Supercharged

How do you like your boost?  From the intake or the exhaust?  Well with this Ford GT you don’t have to decide.  The Ford GT comes from the factory with a Supercharged 5.4 liter aluminum V8.  In this video Hennessey Performance (HPE) is performing chassis dyno testing on its twin turbo AND supercharged GT1000 upgrade to the Ford GT.  Listen to the motor scream through these dyno pulls, music to our ears. HPE’s GT1000 package raises the horsepower of the Ford GT to, yep you guessed it, 1,000 horsepower @6,600 RPM. Almost double the stock GT’s 550hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque.

How does HPE add this power?  They use a twin 67 mm ball bearing turbo kit, upgraded fuel and exhaust systems to name a few things.  All in all this means a 0 -60 in 2.8 Seconds, a 1/4 mile in 10.6 Seconds @ 142 mph and a top speed of 245 mph.  If you are asking how that compares to a stock Ford GT, well the stock Ford GT takes 3.5 seconds to reach 60 mph from the standstill.  Runs the quarter in 11.2 @ 131.2 mph and has a top speed of 205 mph.
