Walk 1000ft with Bob Tasca The man who brought Ford back to the NHRA

NHRA Funny Car competitor Bob Tasca III is hardly a new name to the professional racing ranks, but he seems to be enjoying a bit of a resurgence, finding himself building a loyal following among the NHRA’s fanbase.

After watching this Walk a Thousand segment, it is pretty clear why the fans are flocking to Tasca and his Motorcraft team. The Rhode Island native has a great presence and personality that draws you in and makes you anxious to hear what he has to say next. In a world of larger than life personalities, it’s hard to stand out from the crowd, but Tasca’s understated humor and obvious love for the sport make him an easy choice for a fan looking for somebody to pull for, and if that isn’t enough, just wait until you see his victory dance!

Tasca is a father of 4 young boys who are already participating in the sport with their dad, and when he’s not at the track racing himself or with his boys, Bob enjoys aviation, having been a pilot for the better part of a decade. He and his family run Tasca Automotive Group, a network of dealerships that represent many major manufacturers across three states in the New England region.

While his day job is at the auto group, Tasca has been a professional drag racer since 2008, taking home four wins in twelve final round appearances. He lists his most memorable win as his first at the 2009 Gatornationals, a win he had the good fortune to share with his grandfather.

Finally, at the end of his walk with NHRA’s beautiful Amanda Busick, Tasta takes his shot at claiming the best victory dance award when he jumps behind the wheel of a brand new Mustang and whips up some Hoonigan-style clouds! Now that is how you celebrate a win, boys and girls!

This was a lot of fun! Checkout my walk 1,000 ft with NHRA's Amanda Busik. Tune in to @NHRA on @FOXTV from Denver, July, 22 at 3 p.m. ET
