When you stare in the face of 2000hp, one must realize that with great power really does come great responsibility as setups of this magnitude can prove to be quite volatile.

With all of the variables in play here, something going wrong could be and was in the cards for this mean Holden Torana when it hit the dyno rollers.

The scene was set at Summernats 28 when this 439ci turbo big block Chevrolet powered ride blasted its way to 2083.9hp, becoming the first car at the event to break 2000hp to the rear wheels!

The good feeling behind that dyno pull was short lived unfortunately as the car would soon after go up in a cloud of smoke as the car would completely destroy the engine.
