Honda Civic Smokes Smack Talkers in a V10 Audi R8

When you drop a bunch of money on car, thinking that it’s the best thing since sliced bread, it can be easy to lose sight of the fact that there’s a good chance that it’s probably not the fastest thing on the drag strip. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing but an accurate perspective is an important thing to have. It looks like, for the owner of this Audi R8 and his buddy who seems to like talking a lot smack, that they have built up quite a high set of expectations for this machine. When they took those expectations out to the drag strip, it’s all about even more smack talking and a good time, that is, until they run into an unlikely altercation out there that blows their mind as they get left in the dust.

In the next lane over is not other than a Honda Civic, that’s right, we’re talking about that machine that was built to get good fuel economy and really do nothing else. However, in this one, it looks like someone has been under the hood tinkering with this machine to make sure that it would be a force to be reckoned without there in straight line competition. When the Honda comes up against this R8 and its occupants, team R8 appears to be pretty confident in what they’re doing but when push comes to shove, the Honda ends up slaying the high dollar exotic machine with ease. All that I have to say about this one is that it did get mighty quiet in that car when the Honda took off and its taillights faded into the distance.

Check out the video below that shows off a couple of cars that are definitely on opposite ends of the spectrum but end up surprising you as the Honda really flexes its muscles out there on the track. After a race like this, I would venture to think that it would make these guys think twice before going out there flapping their jaws about a competition that they aren’t too sure about next time.
