Lamborghini Huracán Performante Spyder Finally Unveiled!

I heard once, years ago, that there’s a reason you don’t see commercials for luxury car brands like Rolls Royce and Bentley because the people who are buying those cars know what they want and are almost completely unlikely to be swayed by a commercial. I have to assume that logic applies to those in the market for a car like this, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante Spyder, so while there is a commercial for the car, it’s more like what I would equate to a theatrical trailer, something that will be seen by those already in close proximity to the Lambo community, at least until we got our hands on it. We’re gonna show it to everybody!

According to Lamborghini’s website, “The Huracán Performante has decided to lower its roof and transform itself into the Spyder with the highest performance that the Huracán family has ever seen.”

Adding more info about the roadster version of the world-beating Performante, “Weighing in at 35 kg less than the Huracán 4WD Spyder and with 30 HP more, this newest addition to the House of the Raging Bull vaunts the best power-to-weight ratio in the Huracán Spyder range,” meaning the car should be among the best-performing cars in the world, especially when it hits the iconic Nurburgring, where the non-Spyder version briefly held the production car lap record before being supplanted by the current record holder, Porsche’s 911 GT2 RS.

With more power and less weight than the standard Huracan Spyder, the Performante edition should throw down a better lap time, but the 911’s 6:47 lap will be tough to beat. We’ll have to wait and see how that plays out, but until then, enjoy this beautifully shot ad for the car. As a photographer, this really speaks to me and the struggles that often come with capturing cars in motion.
