With thousands of horsepower being tossed around, these boats throw together a pretty good head of steam. Obviously, they are built for the conditions. However, that doesn’t always mean that there is any sort of certainty of a clean outcome. After all, the choppiness of the water can be quite unpredictable. Drivers absolutely never know exactly what mother nature is going to throw at them. This time, she really had a haymaker for a pair of drivers. It appears as if there were too many moving parts and something simply had to give. It gave way in dramatic fashion.

Sure, one boat getting tangled up in some sort of rollover might be expected in a race like this. While it’s not necessarily a foregone conclusion, it wouldn’t shock the world. However, what would is a situation where two boats both take the same turn and roll over, one after the other. This almost ends up looking like a video game as the most unlikely of scenarios unfolds right in front of these drivers. This is probably about a one in a million event unfolding in front of the camera lens and spectators alike.

By following along with the video below, we get up close and personal with this crazy sequence. Luckily, nobody was injured in the event.
