This time, though, our YouTube rabbit hole ended up with a rather interesting feature. When we stumbled upon the Jakarta Diecast Project channel we were immediately entranced. With over 300,000 subscribers, it looks like others have felt the same way. Some of the videos have even racked up millions of views.

So what is it all about?

It looks like this creator really has broken out his artistic nature. The channel takes a look at Hot Wheels diecast cars in a way like we’ve never seen them before. This isn’t just another collector. Instead, our uploader takes the liberty of breaking down the cars into separate pieces. From there, he then modifies these pieces to come up with something entirely new. It’s almost like a mini frame-off restomod. In this one, we watch as a BMW e36 sedan is broken down and the modification begins.

This isn’t something as simple as slapping a new coat of paint on the body and calling it a day. Instead, we watch as the body is cut up and reformed from a sedan into a wagon. We even see a widebody installed!

It’s all topped off with custom wheels and different accessories like the cargo rack on top and an intercooler sticking out of the front bumper. Essentially, we watch a Hot Wheels car is completely reconfigured and insane detail is thrown in the mix. When all is said and done, we can’t help but have our jaws left on the floor.
